Label Shazzle By Shazia Naik collection ‘Serafina’ was seen on the runway at Bombay Times Fashion Week on October 12th, 2018 at St. Regis. Bollywood’s favorite Krystle D’souza dazzled the ramp as a show stopper, and the front row was graced by Anupriya Goenka, Aanchal Goenka Tanisha mu The collection was all about vibrant and glamorous fusion wear clothing line that portrays an image of playful yet glamorous femininity. The label emphasised on wearability and quality craftsmanship to create statement pieces. The collection was inspired by Feminine form of the Late Latin name Seraphinus, derived from the biblical word seraphim which was Hebrew in origin and meant “fiery ones”. The seraphim were an order of angels, described by Isaiah in the Bible as having six wings each. Out of the six only two were used for flying Two are used to cover the face and two to cover the feet. Their position is flying above Gods throne and primary duty is to constantly glorify and praise God. It depicts a girl who likes to be desired and admired, craves attention and wishes to charm and impress those around her. She tends to be high handed and often brittle, haughty and proud. Extremely confident, she usually has grandiose ambitions. The Palette used is shades of navy, rose pink, oxblood and nudes. Sequins, stones and crystal embroidery are used to give a delicate feel to the collection. Thigh high slit are used to depict the attention seeking quality. Ruffles are used to depict wings of the angels. The mood of the collection is soft and feminine but yet ambitious, bold, strong and confident.
Keeping in mind the six wings of the angels, Seraphim, the Showstopper Krystle D’souza outfit was designed. The skirt depicted abundance but at the same time it had a long slit which represents the quality of being desired and attention seeking. Outfits were stunning with the deep plunge neckline adorned with crystals sequins and stones show the beauty and delicate nature of these angels.
The evening witnessed a unique fashion presentation with the models showcasing exquisite creations by the label Shazzle By Shazia Naik. The label brings to us the AW18 collection Serafina, an enthralling collection of gowns in beautiful pastel shades, adorned with sequins, stones and crystal embroidery. The collection represents a woman who is confident in her skin and enjoys being appreciated for her beauty! She knows what she wants in life and is not afraid to go after it!
